Standby mode
Standby mode is the state of your phone once it has found
service and is in the idle state. Your phone goes into
standby mode:
•
After you power it on.
•
When you press
after a call.
When in standby mode, you will see the time, day, and date
as well as all other active icons.

While in standby mode, enter a phone number, and
press
to place a call.
2.
Press
to return to standby mode.
Receive messages in standby mode
You can receive messages while in standby mode. An alert
tone sounds and a notification message appears in the
display when a new message arrives.

Press the right soft key (
)
View
to view the message,
or press the left soft key (
)
Ignore
to view the
message later.
Talk mode
You can only place and receive calls when your phone is
powered on. While in a call your phone is in talk mode. Press
the left soft key (
) to display a list of
In-Use
menu options.

Silent mode
With a single press of the key you can silence the call ringer
and tones that your keypad makes whenever you press a
key. When you receive a call, the phone vibrates instead
of ringing.
