Flash
You can use the built-in flash on the front of the
phone to view the external display or to take photos
when it is dark. You can also use the flash in
emergency conditions.
With the external display on, press and hold on
the left side of the phone to turn the flash on or off.
If you receive a notification of an incoming message
or a notice of a missed call, you need to clear those
items before you can use the flash. See page 53 for
further details.

Getting started
Using the battery
Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion
battery. Use only approved batteries and chargers.
Ask your local Samsung dealer for further details.
Note: You must fully charge the battery before using
your phone for the first time. A discharged
standard battery recharges fully in
approximately 200 minutes.
Installing the battery
1. Place the battery so that the tabs on the end
align with the slots at the bottom of the phone.
2. Press the battery down until it clicks into place.
Make sure that the battery is properly installed
before switching on the power.
