107 Landscape Mode
Creating and Sending Messages - Landscape Mode
1.
Slide open your r561 to Landscape mode.
2.
At the Idle screen, press the left landscape softkey
for
Send Msg
.
3.
Using the navigation keys highlight a contact and press
or select
one of the following options:
•
Go to Contacts
: scroll through your Contacts list and press
to
select a desired recipient.
•
Left soft key
for
Multiple
: select a contact and press
.
Repeat to add more contacts. Press the left soft key for
Continue
when finished.
4.
Right soft key
for
New Addr
: enter the recipient’s phone number
or email address and press
.
5.
Use the QWERTY keyboard and special function keys to create your
message.
•
Press
to delete characters behind the blinking cursor.
•
Press
to insert spaces between words or characters.
•
Press
to lock/unlock text entry mode

.
•
Press
to cycle between upper case (ABC), lower case (abc), or
initial caps (Abc) for characters in
ABC
mode.
•
Press
to move the insertion point to the next line in a message.
6.
Press the left landscape softkey
to
Send
. If you wish to change
your text message, press the right landscape softkey
for
Options
.
Accessing the Menus in Landscape Mode
To use the menus in landscape mode:
1.
In Idle mode, press

Using the navigation keys select:

Ringers

Messaging

Contacts

Missed Alerts

Camera

Tools

Settings

and
Phone Support
.
Note
: You can also access the menus by using the landscape numeric keypad. The
numbers correlate to the numbers used in portrait mode.
