Voice Settings
Choice Lists
When VoiceSignal cannot recognize a name or number, it displays a choice list of up
to three possible choices, and prompts you to confirm the correct one.
You can select how VoiceSignal will use choice lists with name dialing, digit dialing,
and contacts.
To change the way VoiceSignal uses choice lists:
1.
In standby mode, press the
MENU
(left) soft key (
), then press
(for
Voice SVC
),
(for
Voice Settings
), and
for
Choice Lists
.
2.
Use the Up/Down navigation keys to highlight the Choice List behavior you
prefer:
• Automatic
— VoiceSignal displays a choice list only when it is not sure if it has
correctly recognized the name or number.
• Always On
— VoiceSignal always displays a choice list, even when there is
only one choice.
• Always Off
— VoiceSignal never displays a choice list.
3.
Press the
key or the
OK
(left) soft key (
) to accept the new
setting. Press the
key to discard the new setting and return to the
Voice Settings
menu.
Sensitivity
1.
In standby mode, press the
MENU
(left) soft key (
), then press
(for
Voice SVC
),
(for
Voice Settings
), and
for
Sensitivity
.
2.
Use the Up and Down navigation keys to adjust the selected Sensitivity
setting incrementally between
Reject More
spoken commands or names
and
Reject Less
spoken commands or names.
3.
Press the
key or the
OK
(left) soft key (
) to accept the new
setting. Press the
key to discard the new setting and return to the
Voice Settings
menu.
Digit Dialing
If you regularly have trouble with VoiceSignal not recognize the numbers you say, try
adapting digit dialing to your voice. Adapting can improve the accuracy of digit
recognition, especially for people with strong regional accents.
