MOBILE SYSTEM MODEM (MSM6000)
The MCU equipped with the ARM 7TDMI CPU
core is an important component of the CDMA
cellular phone. The MSM6000 comes in a 208-Ball
FBGA Package.
MICROPROCESSOR INTERFACE
The
interface
circuitry
consists
of
reset
circuit,
address bus(A0-A22),data bus(D0-D15),and memory
controls (LB, UB, WE, OE, CS|1S, CE|F, CS2S,
RY|BY)
CODEC
The MSM6000 (U100) integrates an audio voice
band CODEC into the Mobile Station Modem. The
integrated
CODEC
contains
all
of
the
required
conversion and amplification stages for the audio
front end.
Clock
-Modem clock : 19.20MHz. This clock signal is
used for ARM 7TDMI
-Sleep clock : 32.768KHz. This clock signal is used
for sleep.
RFT6122, RFR6122 AND MSM INTERFACE
A. CDMA Data Interface
- TX_IP, TX_IM, TX_QP, TX_QM (U400 pins 29,
30 / 27, 28): Differential analog input for I and Q
component used during CDMA mode.
-RX_IP, RX_IM, RX_QP, RX_QM (U300 pins 28,
27 / 25, 26): RX analog baseband output for I and
Q component used during CDMA mode
B. RF Interface
- TX : TX_AGC_ADJ (U400 pin 21) port is used to
control the TX power, TX_ON (U100 pin B12)
signal used to control RFT6122
- RX : SBI_DT, SBI_CK_SBI_ST (U300 pins 3, 4,
5) lines are used to control the RX gain and
TRK_LO_ADJ
(U100
pin
D15)
is
used
to
compensate the TCXO clock.
