Adding access point for Wi-Fi

"Settings" → "More settings" →
"Tethering and portable hotspot" →
"Portable Wi-Fi hotspot"

Tap "Network SSID" ﬁ eld and input
the network SSID

• By default, "AndroidHotspotXXXX" is set.

Select a proper setting from "Open", "WPA
PSK" and "WPA2 PSK".

Tap "Password" ﬁ eld to enter password

Password is not required if you set "Open" in
"Security".

"Save"

Information

• The default setting is "WPA2 PSK".
• While connecting via Wi-Fi tethering, in the

Portable Wi-Fi hotspot screen, "Conﬁ gure"
→ Mark "Hide my device" → Tap "Save" to
disconnect the connected wireless LAN
device. Unmark "Hide my device" → Tap
"Save" to reconnect.
