Troubleshooting
Before requesting service, please check the following.
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Video does not appear with on the external
component connected to the Blu-ray player
Check that the TV is set to VIDEO or HDMI.
Check that the Audio/Video Cable is securely connected.

Dolby Digital audio volume is too low.
Change the “Dynamic Range Control” setting to “On”. This will turn up the
comparatively low volume level of Dolby Digital, which provides the widest,
dynamic sound range.

Battery pack won’t charge.
A hot battery pack may take longer to charge.
Wait until the battery pack is suffi ciently cooled down.
•
Power does not turn on.
Check whether the battery pack is completely exhausted.
You can check the remaining battery power even when the product is
turned off. If LED does not turn on, charge the battery pack before using.

Battery Changing Status Indicator does not
light (Battery pack won’t charge).
Replace with a fully charged battery pack or use the AC adapter.
If the Blu-ray player is overheated and the battery pack’s internal
temperature goes up to a certain level, you will not be able to charge the
battery pack.
In this occurs, remove the battery pack. Re-attach the battery after it has
cooled down suffi ciently. Charging will begin automatically.
Check that the temperature is within the range of 41°F~113°F (5°C~45°C).
Check that the jack of the AC adapter is plugged in correctly.

Battery charging takes too long.
Charging the product while in use takes longer. For faster charging of the
product, turn the product’s power off while charging.
Note that charging a completely exhausted battery may take a longer time
because the battery’s internal protection circuit requires recovery time.

Power does not turn on or suddenly turns off.
Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged into an AC outlet.
Turn the power off, and then back on.

Battery pack is in place, but the power does
not turn on or suddenly turns off.
Check if the battery pack is charged. If not, recharge it.
•
No operation can be performed with the
remote control.
Check the battery in the remote control. You may need to replace it.
Operate the remote control at a distance of no more than 20 feet from the
player.
Remove the battery, and then hold down one or more buttons for several
minutes to drain the microprocessor inside the remote control to reset it.
Reinstall the battery, and then try to operate the remote control again.

There is no sound from the built-in speakers.
Unplug all earphones and Audio/Video cables from the product.
If cables are connected, the built-in speakers are disabled.
