Multi-Position Air Handler Blower Troubleshooting
If voltage is not present, check the electrical circuit feeding power.
If voltage is present,
t
urn the system on,
initiate a demand from the wired controller and check for 24 VAC between the proper low voltage terminals of the
motor.
This should be done at the terminals at the motor directly.
Voltage should be checked between the
"
C
"
terminal of the motor, and desired speed tap 1-5 depending on where the motor lead is connected.
Only one low voltage call should exist at a time.
If more than one speed tap is engergized at a time the motor
will not operate.
If both high and low voltage measur
e
ments are correct and the motor does not run the motor is defective
and needs to be replaced.
