4.  CARE AND CLEANING

Always ensure the frying pan has cooled down and is unplugged before cleaning.

Following a few general tips can prolong the life of your frying pan:

1.

Always wash the pan and cover as soon as possible after each use.

2.

DO NOT pour cold water into a hot pan.

3.

Never scrape with hard or sharp utensils while cleaning.

4.

Wash the frying pan after each use to avoid stains caused by a build-up of food
or grease residues. Never leave food in overnight.

5.

Hold the unit at a 45

angle, socket side facing upwards, to wash. This will

prevent or at-least minimize the water getting into the socket.

Control Probe -

If cleaning is necessary, wipe over with a damp cloth. NEVER IMMERSE

THE CONTROL PROBE IN ANY LIQUIDS. Always ensure that the probe is completely dry
before inserting it into the socket.

Pan -

Wash the inside surface of the pan in hot soapy water, using a sponge or soft

cloth. Do not use any harsh abrasive cleaners. Normal dish washing liquid should be
sufficient. Rinse and dry thoroughly, try not to get any water into the socket but if by
chance this happens, always ensure the socket is completely dry before inserting the
control probe.

Glass lid

 - Wash the lid in warm soapy water using a soft sponge, rinse and dry

thoroughly.

5.  SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE

There are no user serviceable parts to this appliance. Should the unit not be functioning
properly, it needs to be examined and repaired (if necessary) by an authorized service dealer
or service agent. Should these instructions not be obeyed, the warranty becomes invalid.

Hints before returning the unit for a service:

Has the plug been wired correctly and are the wires tight under their screws.

Is the household socket working properly?

Note

If service becomes necessary within the warranty period, and not as a direct result of misuse or
mishandling, the appliance should be returned to an approved Amalgamated Appliance (Pty) Ltd
Service Centre for examination and repair.

Servicing outside of the warranty period is still available, but will be chargeable.
