CARE AND CLEANING
1. All servicing, other than cleaning, should be performed by an
authorized service representative. See Warranty section.
2. Unplug Kettle from wall outlet. Empty the Kettle and allow it to cool
before cleaning.
Exterior
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior.
- DO NOT use abrasive cleaners. Dry exterior thoroughly before use.
- DO NOT immerse kettle or power base in water or other liquid.
Removing the Filter
1. Locate the two slots (b) on each side of the Filter Holder.
2. Use a small screwdriver or pointed tool in one of the slots (b) to
release the Filter from the Filter Holder.
Installing the Filter
1. Place one of the small round tabs (a) into the slot (b) on one side
of the filter holder.
2. Then snap the opposite tab (a) into position while moving the filter
upward into position. The center post (c) should be positioned so
that it is through the middle hole (d) in the top edge of the Filter.
Descaling
Under normal use, scale build-up will form on the inside of the kettle
and will coat the stainless steel plate. Scale, which has accumulated
inside the kettle must be removed.
1. Boil equal parts of white vinegar and water (500 ml/ 2 cups of each is
recommended).
2. Once the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand several hours or
overnight.
3. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water.
4. Bring water to a boil and discard.
5. For heavy scale build-up, use a solution of pure vinegar, and let stand
overnight.
6. Empty out vinegar and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water.
