For Use with Front Derailleur
To mount the Frame Pack on a frame with a front derailleur,
perform steps 1–4. Next, you will need to remove the front
derailleur hanger bolt or bolts that share mounting locations
with the frame pack (fig. 5).
NOTE:
Do not remove the derailleur hanger bolt located on the
back of the seat tube (fig. 6).
Once the front derailleur hanger bolts are removed, replace
them with Thumb Screws to hold both the Frame Pack and
front derailleur hanger. Now continue with steps 5 and 6
as described above.
NOTE:
Thumb Screws that pass through the front derailleur
hanger must be torqued to 3Nm to ensure proper front
derailleur operation.
Using the Hydration Port
1. Insert a hydration bladder in the right side of the Frame Pack.
We recommend bladders up to 3L/100 oz.
2. Exit the hydration bladder hose through the port on the
down tube panel of the pack, and run it up to where
it is easily accessible.
3. Secure hose to keep it out of the front wheel.
WARNING:
Entanglement of cargo or hydration hoses in your
wheel could stop the rotation of the wheel, causing a loss of
control or crash that could lead to serious injury.
Ongoing Maintenance
Zipper Care
To ensure reliable performance from EXP Series bikepacking
accessories’ zippers, do not try closing the zipper if the bag is
overstuffed or excessive force would be required to close it. Do not
force a zipper in an overstuffed pack, as this may cause the zipper
teeth to come undone from the pack itself and be irreparable.
Do not force a slider that has fabric or thread caught in it. Gently
pull the slider back, and remove the trapped fabric or thread.
NOTE:
Excessive force applied to zippers may not be covered
by warranty.
Do not force a zipper slider that does not open or close smoothly.
The zipper should be closed with the slider all the way to the top
before cleaning to prevent clogging the teeth of the zipper.
Apply paraffin or ZIPPYCOOL
®
to the front and back side of the
zipper teeth, and move the slider up and down several times
to work the lubricant in.
Fabric Care
Hand wash with warm water and all-purpose detergent. Air dry.
