The Display and Control Unit DEBEG 3401 can be connected additionally, even if the AIS is integrated
in an SAM Electronics radar or NACOS system. For this case see Section 2.3, Section 2.4, Section 2.5,
Section 2.6 and Section 2.7.
It is also possible to configure and operate the Electronics Unit DEBEG 3400 if it is not integrated in an
SAM Electronics system. In this case, the DCU DEBEG 3401 is needed. For further information refer to
the Technical Manual of the Display and Control Unit DEBEG 3401.
Figure 2-1 shows, that the gyro must be connected via a serial interface RS422. If no serial gyro is avail-
able, an analog gyro (AC gyro or DC stepper) can be connected by means of the DEBEG 4901 Gyro
Converter Unit VS3037G010. See the Technical Manual of the Gyro Converter Unit for further informa-
tion.
