Counter (optional)
Displays a metal piece (foreign object) detection count.

The hopper to load the material.

Detection history data can be stored in a SD card.

Buzzer/reset switch
(optional)
At occurrence of an error, the buzzer sounds. This switch is used to turn off the buzzer.

Cooling fan (optional)
For cooling inside the sensor housing.

Transformer (optional)
Converts the voltage of primary power supply. (For the use of primary power supplies other
than 100 VAC.)

Discharge chute
Discharge port for metal pieces.

Operation switch
Turns ON/OFF the power supply to the controller
(for operation).

Louver (optional)
A louver for ventilation. (Available in combination with the cooling fan)

Discharge damper
Transfers detected metal pieces and the material (pellets) to the discharge chute.

Light tower (optional)
Indicates the status of the machine.
Green: normal operation, Yellow: metal detected, Red: error

Adjustment volume and
coaxial connector
This connector is used to connect the sensor output signal and sensor sensitivity (threshold)
adjusting dials and the oscilloscope. For details, refer to “Sensor Sensitivity and Sensor
Signal Adjustment” in Section 3

Control board
Used to control the equipment.

Circuit protector
Provides a protection against an overcurrent on the solenoid
for operating the discharge damper.

Main circuit breaker
Turns ON/OFF the power supply to the machine.
