Key allocation:
Since keys can be designated according to specific applications, symbols
can be used to allocate any desired ASCII code to the keys.
The defaults are the standard key designations. The numeric keys (0...9)
should not be reallocated, otherwise an error will occur when the ASCII
value is converted to decimal.
