Quick Start Guide
Connection to the VCR/DVD
recorder
See the diagram below to connect your receiver
to a VCR/DVD recorder.
Connection to a home cinema
amplifier
Some digital channels are shown in DTS or
DOLBY DIGITAL quality sound. To fully enjoy
this sound quality, it is best to connect your
receiver to a home cinema with a S/PDIF optical
input.
Use a S/PDIF optical cable (cable not provided)
to connect the
DIGITAL AUDIO
output on the
receiver to the input of your home cinema
amplifier.
Connection to a hi-fi unit
To make the most of the digital quality sound
and listen to radio channels with the TV turned
off, just connect the right and left audio outputs
of the receiver to the auxiliary input of your hi-fi
system (cable not provided).
Powering On the receiver
Once you have connected all the appliances
together (receiver, TV, VCR, ...), you can
connect the receiver to the mains and power on
the receiver.
To
power on
the receiver, proceed as follows:
1.
Ensure that the On/Off switch located on the
rear panel of the receiver is on Off
(position 0).
2.
Connect the power cord into the power
connector of the receiver.
3.
Plug the power cord into a mains socket
located near the device and easily accessible.
4.
Press the On/Off switch to switch the receiver
on (position I).
You can now proceed to the initial setup of your
receiver.
Note
If your VCR/DVD recorder has more than one
SCART connector, choose the TV or EXT1
socket.
