SAFETYLINK’S GUIDELINES

Prior to ladder assembly, refer below SafetyLink’s installation guidelines and considerations based on AS1657:2018.

Ladders over 6 metres must have midway rest platforms allowing the user to rest and change
direction. When more than one platform is required it is recommended that intervals are no more
than 4.5 metres.

10.

Ladder entry/exit considerations: Top landings must be flat within three (3) degrees. Bottom landings
must be flat within three (3) degrees. Bottom landings must be within seven (7) degrees cross slope.
Top or Bottom landing platforms are required outside of this range.
