The machine is ready for brewing. The AquaClean filter is active.
The number of filters used is automatically updated. After the 8th filter the counting
will restart from 0/8.
10.2.2 AquaClean replacement
After a period of usage the ‘AquaClean water filter’ signal starts blinking (for
approx.150 products of 100ml). This means that you have to replace it.
The signal will blink faster when it comes close to the expiring time.
> Take out the used filter and follow the steps described in chapter
“10.2.1 AquaClean
installation”

If you don’t replace the filter on time, the machine will ask you to perform a descaling
cycle.

In ths case, follow the steps as described below

Press the MENU button and scroll the menu to go to the ‘AquaClean Filter function’.

Press the OK button to select the function otherwise
Press the ESC button to exit the programming function.
The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for
3 minutes.
The machine needs to be descaled as the series of 8 filter is over.

Perform the instructions described at the
“7.5 Descaling cycle”

Press the ESC button twice to exit the programming function.
The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for
3 minutes.
At the end, the machine goes back to the main menu.

When the main menu is displayed, to replace the filter proceed as described in the
previous “10.2.1 AquaClean installation” chapter.
The machine will restart the counting of the 8 filter series from 0/8.
