HEAT GUN (Fig. 7)
Use as heat gun is always without use of the extension
handle for various purposes, such as:
•
Removing old paint and gloss
•
Removing self-adhesive labels
•
Bonding of PVC labels
•
Removing vinyl wallpaper
•
Fast drying of damp equipment
•
Shrink packaging
•
Defrosting of water pipes
•
Loosening of nuts and bolts
Always use with caution! Do NOT cover the ventilation openings
during use as it causes a risk of burns! Do not touch the hot
nozzle!
CAUTION!
To avoid overheating of the BBQ or Fireplace do not use the
device for longer than necessary.
With the temperature adjustment lever (1) you can select from
three temperature settings depending on application.
The nozzles can easily be pushed over the hot air nozzle (3).
Never touch the nozzles during operation or right after use
of the device. The nozzles are very hot.
The device has two handle positions. Position 1-a is suitable
for killing weeds and Position 1-b is for lighting charcoal. In
position 2, the device can be used as a heat gun.
To change the handle positions, twist the handle (4) while
pressing the lock button for twisting handle (5).
To remove the extension handle, pull the extension handle
from the tool while pressing the lock button (8) for extension
handle.
5. Check to ensure the nozzle is not blocked before
turning the device on.
6. Set the temperature to setting III.
7. Press the On/Off switch.
8. Allow the device about 45 seconds to warm up.
9. To eliminate weeds, hold the nozzle over the weeds for
about 5 seconds.
During these 5 seconds the cell structure of the weed is
destroyed. As a result, the weed dies within a few days.
It is not necessary to completely burn the weeds, 5 seconds
is more than sufficient.
For an efficient treatment the nozzle should be held
around 0 to 5cm above the weeds.
The effects are not visible immediately but will take a while
before they can be seen. It is more of a long-term effect.
1. Ensure the extension handle is firmly fixed onto the
device and that the device is turned off.
2. Turn the device to position 1-a.
3. Attach the weed killer nozzle (11) to destroy weeds.
4. Insert the plug into the socket.
If using the tool as a weed killer you must use the extension
handle.
The BBQ and fireplace lighter is always to be used without
the extension handle.
1. Remove the extension handle.
2. Turn the handle to position 1-b.
3. Attach the BBQ lighting nozzle onto the tool.
4. Place the nozzle under the coal or the wood, and make
sure it is properly positioned.
5. Insert the plug into the socket.
6. Check to ensure the nozzle is not blocked before
turning the switch on.
7. Set the temperature adjustment lever to I, II or III.
8. Press the On/Off switch.
9. Remove the device from the coals or the wood as soon
as it starts to glow, and blow hot air into the coals or wood
from a distance of around 5-10cm, until the coals or wood
is burning properly.
This will help to avoid damaging the nozzle attachment.
Exposing the nozzle to high temperatures for a prolonged
period of time could cause the material to melt. Please
follow these instructions to achieve long-term enjoyment
with the product.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF (Fig. 3, 4)

To switch the tool on, press the on / off switch (2)
•
To switch the tool off, press the on / off switch again
1. Remove the extension handle
2. Turn the handle to position 2
3. Attach the desired nozzle onto the tool.
4. Insert the plug into the socket
1. The extension handle consists of the extension handle
grip (6) and the extension handle tube (7). Connect both
parts and tighten the connection.
2. Make sure that the extension handle firmly clicks into
position.
