BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging before first use and wipe the sandwich maker with a slightly
damp cloth.
• Heat the sandwich grill to high heat and let it stand warm for about 5 minutes. The sand-
wich toaster should be empty. It may be that it will smoke and odor from the sandwich
maker but this is normal. The smoke and the smell disappears within a few minutes.
• Close the sandwich toaster, let it cool and wipe with a damp cloth.
USE
• Grease the grill plate with butter or margarine – do not use oil!
• Plug the plug in the electrical outlet. The red indicator light turns on when the plug is
in the electrical outlet.
• Close the sandwich maker and prepare the sandwich while the sandwich maker heats
up. The green indicator light turns on when the temperature has been reached. The
sandwich maker becomes hot after about 2–3 minutes.
• Open the sandwich maker and put the sandwich on the greased grill plate.
• Add the top slice of bread with the greased side up and close the sandwich maker.
• Close both halves of the grill with the metal clip.
•
NOTE!
If too much filler is used and sandwich maker can not be closed, do not use too
much force to close as this may damage the lock on the handle.
• The sandwich is ready after about 2–3 minutes or longer, depending on filling, type of
bread and how you want it done.
• The green indicator light comes on when the temperature is reached, turns off when
the temperature drops and turns back on when the temperature is raised.
• During the grilling, steam escapes from the sandwich grill. Be careful that you do not
burn yourself from the hot steam.
• Open the sandwich maker and lift up the sandwich with a plastic or wooden spatula.
Never use metal objects that can damage the surface.
• Close the sandwich maker while you prepare the other sandwich.
• Remove the plug from the electrical outlet when you are done grilling.
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
• Do not put the sandwich in the sandwich maker when it is cold, it must always be
warmed up.
• Use thick slices of bread for sandwiches with loose or soft filling. Use pre-sliced bread
for sandwiches with light filling.
• Preferably use butter flavouring for sandwiches.
• Drip bacon fat on the outside of the bread instead of butter.
• Season sandwiches with herbs (parsley, mint, watercress, etc.), onions or tomatoes.
• Sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar on the outside of the bread to make the sandwich crispier.
