pAGING ANd dOORBELL
PAGING AUDIO/VIDEO IN/OUT
The ACA-E5 has a paging audio and video input and loop output that
accepts line level audio/video signals via RCA cables. The paging inputs
interface with the page output of a telephone, camera, or other peripheral
device. When a page event is triggered, it interrupts audio and video outputs
for all enabled zones and their respective subzones. System wide paging can
be disabled permanently in each zone by software programming or temporarily
with DND.
The composite video input has an output for a door camera that can be
looped to the next controller. The audio input has signal sensing for the paging
circuit which will indicate when an audio signal is present. There is a gain
control knob next to this input for setting page input sensitivity.
NOTE:
When configuring a multiple controller system, after adjusting
the page gain for controller 1 (master), set the gain to half for controller 2.
Subsequent controllers in the system should have the page gain set to full.
When using doorbells, alarms and paging, the Paging Audio output must
be looped to the next controller in a multi-unit system, and NOT looped to third
party paging systems.
If doorbells and alarms are NOT used, the Paging Audio output can be
looped to third party paging systems.
PAGE TRIGGER IN/OUT
The page trigger can be used to trigger a page event. The 12VDC trigger
input overrides signal sensing and selects the page audio and video input
(If included in page event) and sends it to any zone that does not have page
disabled or that is not in DND mode. The trigger out sends 12VDC to other
devices such as additional controllers.
DOORBELL TRIGGERS
The ACA-E5’s doorbell four-pole connector supports two doorbell triggers
and provides 12 VDC with a current limit current sense circuit which will detect
button press. The DC voltage is present to light the doorbell lamp. Available
door chimes are selected in SCS-E5 software.
LATCH OUT
The ACA-E5 has two latching relay contact closure outputs on a removable
four pole connector which can be used to trigger two security cameras. These
are activated when a doorbell event happens and latch for 3 seconds.
