To use the status indicator on the 858P Plasma In-Wall, connect the 12VDC
100mA or higher power supply to the STATUS line of the 857 connecting
block as shown in Figure 3.

MOUNTING
Mount the 858P Plasma In-Wall to the J-Box using the screws that are sup-
plied. Mount the cover plate (not included) to the IR receiver. See Figure 5.

Plug the power supply into the switched outlet on the stereo receiver. When
the receiver is on, the power supply will turn on the system status line and
illuminate the LED Green of the 858P Plasma In-Wall. The status line can be
turned on or off by setting the jumper on back of the 858P Plasma Wall as
shown in Figure 4.
WIRE CONNECTIONS - CAT-5e
The connection between the IR receiver and the connecting block can be
made with twisted-pair wiring (i.e., CAT-5e cable). It may be necessary to use
shielded twisted-pair wiring if the wiring is exposed to interference from
power wiring centers or from broadcast signals (FM, TV, etc.) located nearby.
The installer should determine the cable type needed to suit the local condi-
tions of the installation. See Figure 2.
