2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Specific conditions of use
It is forbidden to pump explosive, flammable, corrosive or harmful to health liquids.
This pump is not intended for commercial or industrial use. Any other use is considered
inappropriate. Improper use, modification of the pump or use of parts not approved by the pump
manufacturer may cause unforeseen damage.
General safety instructions
The use of the pump by children, young people or non-familiarized persons with these instructions
is prohibited. If the pump is used in artificial swimming pools and ponds or in their protection zone,
the provisions of DIN VDE 0100-702 shall be observed. All local provisions regarding the safe use
of submersible pumps will also be observed. Risks remain during the operation of submersible
pumps, which cannot be completely eliminated even if safety devices are used. Dangers due to the
environment! Do not use the pump in dangerous places or near flammable liquids and gases!
Danger of electric shock!
Do not direct the water jet directly to the pump or other electrical components!
* Do not touch the plug with your wet hand! Unplug the pump, holding the plug, not the power cord.
* Connect only to a grounded outlet, mounted correctly and checked. The voltage and safety of the
circuit must correspond to the specified values.
Protection will be provided by a residual current device (RCD) of max. 30 mA. The grounded socket
or the plug of an extension cord must be placed in areas protected from contact with water. Use
only extension cables with the appropriate cross-section of the conductors (see "technical data").
Unwind the cable rollers completely. * Do not bend, crush, pull or drive over cables and extenders;
protect against sharp edges. * Place the extension cord so that it does not penetrate the pumped
liquid. * Remove the pump from the socket before any service operation.
