D. Insert the Ethernet patch cables through the cable
glands and into the PoE Splitter and Media Converter
as shown.
E. Tighten the cable glands until the grommets
compress around the patch cables.
F. Insert the SFP Optics into the Media Converter and
connect the fiber patch cable from the mating sleeve.
Route the fiber patch cable under the Ethernet patch
cables as shown.
G. Ensure the weather seal gasket on the enclosure lid is
not damaged or out of position. Close the lid and
torque the four captive screws to 3.38 N.m (30 in-lbs).

A. Connect the Ethernet patch cables from the Fiber
Node to the Access Point as shown. Tighten the cable
glands until the grommets compress around the
patch cables.
B. If your AP is equipped with a safety cable, then:
•
Attach the eye end of the safety cable using the
factory-supplied ground screw as described in the
AP user documentation, and then torque the
screw to 3.38 N.m (30 in-lbs).
--OR--
•
Obtain a customer-supplied set of stainless steel
12mm M6x1 panhead Phillips screws with split
lock and flat washers, attach the eye end of the
safety cable to the ground screw point on the
fiber node case (A), and then torque the screw to
3.38 N.m (30 in-lbs).
You have completed mounting the Fiber Node kit.
