A. Open the fiber enclosure by loosening the four
captive fasteners on the enclosure lid.
B. Insert the fiber optic cable through the cable gland
and prepare the fiber cable with the supplied shield
bond connector. Install the shield bond connector per
the manufacturer’s instructions (Scotchlok 4460-D\FO
Shield Bond Connector).
C. Attach the ground wire to the shield bond connector
and then secure the connector to the fiber enclosure
with wire ties.
D. Wind “out of service” fibers around the left fiber
spool. Secure fibers to the enclosure with wire tie.
E. Wind the “in service” fiber around the right fiber
spool and the insert fiber connector into mating
sleeve.
F. Ensure the weather seal gasket on the enclosure lid is
not damaged or out of position. Close lid and torque
the four captive screws to 3.38 N.m (30 in-lbs).

A. Open the fiber enclosure by loosening the four
captive fasteners on the enclosure lid.
B. Make sure that the PoE Splitter is set to 12V (A).
C. Place the media converter unit into the fiber
enclosure. Secure the unit to the enclosure by
torquing the six M3 captive screws to 0.8 N.m
(7 in-lbs).
