6.2. Reference change
6.2.1. Calibration
The Peakmeter 1204A uses state of the art DSP technology. Scale and
ballistics are defined in software. Based on this facts long term stability is
guaranteed. Adjustment and calibration are not required.
6.2.2. Reference level change
If it is necessary to operate the unit with a reference level other than set by
the factory or if the resolution of the software based level setting does not
match with your needs, a reference level change can be proceeded as
follows. Please make sure that the input sensitivity setting in the preset
menu level M2 is set to 0 db.

manual. These are guidelines for an expierenced service engineer to
proceed adjustments or exchange parts of our instrument. However, we
strongly recommend repair of faulty units in our factory.
Please refer to the safety instruction in chapter 5 before continuing.
1. Disconnect power supply from peakmeter 1204A.
2. Place the peakmeter face down on the workbench. Legen Sie das Peak-

scratch or damage the display.
3. Remove the bottom cover (four screws). Store screws and metal (fig 6-1)
