13 - RELEASE THE OUTHAUL AND REMOVE THE BOOM
15 - ROLL THE SAIL FROM THE TOP AND APPLY ELASTIC TO HOLD IT TOGETHER.
16 - USING DIFFERENT MASTS MAY RESULT IN INCORRECT
CAM PRESSURE AND EITHER POOR ROTATION OR POOR
PERFORMANCE. OUR SAILS COME FITTED WITH 1 SPACER,
WHICH ALLOWS TUNING IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
17 - TO ADJUST CAM SPACING REMOVE CAM
18 - IF PRESSURE IS TOO MUCH, AND ROTATION IS
TOO STIFF. REMOVE THE SPACER AND REFIT CAM
19- IF PRESSURE IS NOT ENOUGH. ADD ADDITION
SPACERS ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS AND REFIT CAM.
ADDITIONAL SPACERS CAN BE FOUND IN THE SAIL BAG.
14 - REMOVE TACK STRAP, OPEN CAM ZIPPERS AND
RELEASE DOWNHAUL TENSION. CAMS SHOULD POP
OFF THE MAST. IF NOT PUSH ON THE CAMS INSIDE
THE ZIPPERS
10 - ADJUST THE LENGTH ACCORDING TO THE SPECS AND APPLY OUTHAUL TENSION
11 - TENSION THE BATTENS
12 - CHECK ALL CAMS ARE STRAIGHT ON THE MAST AND CLOSE ALL ZIPPERS ON CAMS
AND BOOM CUTOUT.
13 - YOU ARE READY TO HIT THE WATER
For top performance on the racecourse we recommend using an adjustable trim system.
THE X-WING FEATURES 3 EYELET
POSITIONS TO TUNE ACCORDING
TO YOUR PREFERRED SETUP.
I.THE HIGHER EYELET GIVES A
MORE POWERFUL AND LIFTY FEEL
TO THE SAIL.
II. THE LOWER EYELET GIVES A
MORE NEUTRAL AND LIGHT FEEL.
III. IF UNSURE WE RECOMMEND THE
MIDDLE POSITION AS A STARTING
POINT.
a.
FOR THE TOP BATTENS APPLY MINIMAL TENSION ENOUGH TO TAKE OUT THE WRINKLES.
Note: The batten should not pop from side to side.
b.
FOR THE BOTTOM 3 BATTENS INCREASE THE TENSION FURTHER.
Note: If the battens begin to S-bend you have gone too far.
