MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER
Cleanliness is the key to a productive and smoothly running nest and egg collecting system.
Dirty nests and egg belts as well as dust and waste in the egg collector influence the quality of the eggs and
might even damage the egg belt and/or the egg belt drive system.
Switch off the main switch first.
Use personal protective equipment.
ACTIONS IN GREY BACKGROUND MUST BE DONE BY A TECHNICALLY TRAINED PERSON.
At first system startup
During the flock
Between 2 flocks
Return unit at the back
Remove feathers and dirt from tensioning
rollers weekly.
Clean: remove feathers and dirt.
Check if tension is still OK.
Release tension from system if it
becomes very cold in the house.
Egg belt tensioner
Tension the belt.
After 3 months: shorten the belt, if
necessary.
In case of very hot weather (as from
30°C), do an extra egg collection:
in the morning.
Clean: remove feathers and dirt.
Check if tension is still OK.
Release tension from system if it
becomes very cold in the house.
CAUTION:
If it is expected that the
ambient temperature
exceeds 30
C, it is
necessary to collect the eggs in the
morning BEFORE the actual ambient
temperature reaches 25
C.
Shorten egg belt if it can no longer be
adjusted.
Slats
Clean and put back in place after flock.
Drive unit
Adjust belts so that they run straight.
Empty feather collector daily.
Clean brush weekly.
Check rubber drive rolls for
contamination.
Remove dust from motor.
Lubricate chain of rubber drive rolls with a
"light" oil.
Opening system
Remove dust from motor.
Check for correct adjustment.
Egg collection table
Clean daily.
Check adjustment of fingers.
