1.6 Prohibited areas of application

Use an approved extension cable when using the appliance outside. The extension
cable must have a cross section of min. 3G1.0 mm²
(HIH 2000/1/1) , 3G1.5 mm² (HIH
3000/2/1) , 4G2.5 mm² (HIH 9000/2/1) .

This appliance is only suitable for construction drying or for heating rooms. The appli-
ance may not be used for drying washing etc. There is a risk of fire.
2. Preparing the Product for Operation
2.1 Unpacking the scope of supply
Check whether the scope of supply is complete and free of defects immediately after open-
ing the packaging. Contact the seller immediately if the scope of supply is incomplete or
defective. Do not put the appliance into operation if it is defective.
2.2 Keeping the original packaging
Keep the original packaging in a safe place over the entire service life of the product. Use
the packaging for storing and transporting the appliance. Only dispose of the packaging
after the product service life has come to an end. You can find information on the proper
disposal in Chapter 7.
2.3 Setting up the appliance
The appliance may only be operated in a secure and stable position. Always ensure the
required minimum distance of 50 cm to all sides, flammable objects and other hazard
sources.
Do not position the appliance directly below a wall socket.
