BA ROTEX A1 B0 - 10/2007
Draining the heating system
• Switch off the main switch and secure against restarting.
• If a hot water storage tank is fitted: Drain the storage tank in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Close the stop valve on the oil filter.
• Bleed all the water in the entire system at the filling and draining sockets (KFE cock).
4.4
Re-commissioning
If the ROTEX Oil condensing boiler A1 BO has been out of service for an extended period, certain preparatory tasks and tests
need to be carried out for re-commissioning.
4.4.1 Work to be done for re-commissioning
Fill condensate drain with water.
In order to prevent flue gas from escaping into the installation room, the condensate treatment unit must be connected correctly.
• Unscrew the inspection
cover of the connection piece in the flue gas pipe.
• Fill the condensate treatment unit with water using a tube held in the flue gas pipe.
• Screw the inspection cover back in position and check the condensate drain route for leaks.
Filling the heating system
• Connect the filling hose with return flow inhibitor (
½
") at the filling and draining fittings (KFE cock, fig. 7-3, pos. 3) and
secure against sliding by using a hose clamp.
• Open the KFE cock and watch the pressure gauge (fig. 2-1, pos. 12).
• Fill the system with water until the marking of the system overpressure is roughly in the centre of the green range of the
pressure gauge display.
• Close the filling & draining cock.
• Bleed the entire heating network (open the regulating valves in the heating system).
• Check the water pressure on the pressure gauge again and top up with water if necessary.
• Close the KFE cock, remove the filling hose and return flow inhibitor from the filling and draining fittings.
Checks before start-up
• Check all connections for leakage.
• All the points in the enclosed checklist to be checked (see section 4.4.2) and record the test results.
• Only if all points on the checklist have been answered with a "
yes
" may the oil condensing boiler be started up again.
Function testing after start-up
After completing the start-up activities the function of the heating must be checked.
• Open the regulating valves in the heating system.
•
Manually adjust the target temperature (see section 4.2.1).
•
Set the control for a control measurement (see chapter 9).
Î
The temperature of the boiler rises slowly.
Î
In case of systems with a hot water storage tank: the temperature of the storage tank rises slowly.
The oil condensing boiler charges the storage tank until the maximum adjustable storage tank temperature is achieved.
It then switches over to heating operation.
• Check all the points on the enclosed checklist (see section 4.4.2) and record the test results.
• Set the desired operating mode (see section 4.1.1 or section 4.1.3).
• Set the regulating valves in the heating system to normal operating mode.
If irregularities arise during the function check after start-up or during the first few days in operation, please
contact your heating expert.
In order to ensure safe, energy-saving and environmentally-friendly operation of the oil condensing boiler,
ROTEX recommends having the settings checked after re-commissioning by a heating expert.
