26 • Functional Check Procedures

SRG-2200 User Guide (v6.0)

To verify the serial digital video signal outputs

1. Double-click the 

Slot 1: SDI 1 Video

 node.

The 

SDI 1 Video 

interface displays in the DashBoard window.

2. Select the 

SDI 1 Pattern 1 - Embedded Audio 1-16

 tab.

3. Connect the SDI1 video output to the Serial Digital Video Analyzer or to a Digital Audio De-Embedder using 

a 75ohm BNC cable.

4. Set the Analyzer / De-Embedder to display the status of the audio data, and to receive a signal through the 

connected input.

5. Check that the Analyzer / De-Embedder does not report any data errors, etc.
6. Repeat 3 through 5 for menu selections:

• < SDI 1 Pattern Right = Audio 02 > on SDI1 Pattern video output.
• < SDI 1 Pattern Left / Right = Audio 03….16 > on SDI1 Pattern video output.
• < SDI 1 Black Left / Right = Audio 01….16 > on SDI1 Black output.

AES / EBU Audio Outputs

Audio channels on the AES outputs are arranged as stereo pairs on each output:
• AES 1 01 …. 02
• AES 2 01 …. 02

To verify the AES/EBU Audio Outputs

1. Double-click the 

Slot 5: Composite Video

 node.

The 

Composite Video 

interface displays in the DashBoard window.

2. Select the 

AES Audio 1 & 2

 tab.
