2.21 Safety and protective equipment
Perform a documented function test after work on the safety equipment. Perform a
regular function check of the safety equipment, keep maintenance intervals.
The safety equipment of the machine consists of:
guards, protective cover;
protective rubber;
protection bars;
warning signs.
DANGER
Risk of inactive safety devices.
Defect or overridden protective devices can not prevent from severe injuries and haz-
ards.
– After maintenance work and before the restart of the machine, make sure in any
case that all protective devices are fully assembled and functional.

ADVICE
We expressly point out that the warning signs and the lighting device for the cross-
wise driving device may only be installed for specific countries where they have been
approved.
Check beforehand whether the machine is allowed for road travel with the crosswise
driving device. The latter is country-specific.
