The predefined brewing time can be adjusted to one’s personal taste at any time (see point 3.).
Thanks to the ‘favourite function’ these personal settings get memorized. So when you start a new tea making
procedure with the “ON/MENU“ button, the appliance will commence with the preferred tea type and brewing time.
Those preferred settings only get cancelled when the appliance is disconnected from the mains.
3. Selecting the brewing time
• Each programme comes with a predefined brewing time. This time can be adjusted individually from 10 seconds
to 10 minutes at any time.
- By activating the button “+“ (PLUS) or the button „TIME“, the time value is increased in minute intervals.
- By activating the button “-“ (MINUS) the time is reduced in 10 second intervals.
4. Preparing tea
• To start the tea making, press the “START/STOP“ button. The pilot lamp of the “START/STOP“ button glows
permanently.
• The appliance heats the water in the water container to the selected temperature.
• The tea making process is accompanied by various sounds (e. g. pump sounds, switching noise); this is normal
and no reason to worry.
• Once the set temperature is reached, the hot water runs off automatically into the filter jug with the tea strainer.
• Now the brewing time (steeping time) starts. And the display is showing the remaining steeping time, which can
be altered any time.
• As soon as the set time has run off, the valve of the filter jug opens automatically and the ready tea drains off into
the teapot. A repeated tone signals that the tea is ready to be served now.
• The keep-warm function commences (see also “5. Keep-warm function”).
• Tea preparation can be stopped with the “START/STOP“ button at any time. In case there is remaining water in
the water container you have to remove it by running a programme. The water container cannot be emptied
manually.
Programme 1
100 °C (boiling)
Programme 2
100 °C (boiling)
Programme 3
90 °C
Programme 4
85 °C
Programme 5
80 °C
The following standard values are predefined.
5. Start time preselection (24 hours) mode
You may preselect a delay of the start time for up to 24 hours. To do so, you have to enter the CURRENT TIME and
the delayed START TIME first (see points A. and B below).
As long as the appliance is connected to the mains, the current time and the set delayed start time remain. (The
current time runs in the background and can only be visualized during the “start time preselection“ mode). Only
when the appliance gets disconnected from the mains, the set times are deleted and can be set anew, if required.
To make use of the start time preselection, proceed as follows:
• Prepare and fill as prescribed under point 1. to 3.
• Make sure that the clock inside the unit shows the correct current time. If not, you have to adjust it as following:
A. Adjusting the current time
• To select the start time preselection mode, press the “PROG” button for 2 seconds; the pilot lamp of the “PROG”
button will start flashing.
