DESCRIPTION
REAR PANEL
DC Power Input: Connects to a 12 - 16 VDC 150 mA power supply. The
inside of the jack is negative, the outside is positive.
Line Out: Two RCA jacks with the main mixed signal at line level.
Line In (Ch 1): Stereo RCA jacks for connection to a line-level source such
as a CD or cassette player.
Phantom Power: The square hole between Line In 1 and Mic In 2 has the
phantom power jumper. To engage the phantom power, carefully pull out
the jumper with a pair of needle-nose pliers and replace it in a horizontal
position so the jumper shorts the two pins together.
Mic In (Ch 2): XLR input jack for connection to a dynamic or condenser
microphone. If you are using a condenser type microphone make sure the
Phantom Power jumper is shorted together as described above.
Inst. In (Ch 3 & 4): 1/4" input jacks for connection to guitars, keyboards or
other instrument level devices.
FRONT PANEL
Line/Headphone Out: 1/4" TRS stereo jack for connection to an amplifier or
headphones.
Inst. Out: 1/4" TS jack for connection to an amplifier.
Level 1 - Level 4: Adjusts the signal level of the corresponding input
channel.
PWR LED: When lit, indicates that the MX56s is connected to the AC
adapter and the power switch is on. Or - if a battery is installed and the
power switch is on.
ON/OFF: Power Switch: Applies and removes power to the MX56s.
The battery port is located on the right-hand side of the MX56s. To change
the battery; remove the cover, slide the used battery out and remove the
battery from the clip. Dispose of the used battery properly, and reinstall the
new battery. Reinstall the battery cover.
