Fill the machine with ink.

Before you insert the ink cartridge for each 

color, gently shake the cartridge.

"EJ 4 COLOR": Insert ink cartridges into slots 1 to 8. 

"EJ 7 COLOR": Insert ink cartridges into the slots whose 

numbers are flashing.

If a subtank or the subtank guard is not installed, the following screen will be displayed.

Install a subtank in every slot whose number is flashing.

Install the subtank guard, and then press
