This chapter provides step-by-step descriptions for connecting the R&S
SMM100A with

LAN interface:
To connect to HS Dig I/Q
You can connect three interface types of the Ethernet card at the host PC to the QSFP
+ interface (HS Dig I/Q) of the R&S
SMM100A.
1. For connection, use high-quality cables and adapters depending on the interface
that you are using. The table
lists cables and adapters required for each
interface type.

2. Hold the QSFP+ plug of the cable or adapter by its panes.
3. Turn the QSFP+ cable or adapter, so that the release tab shows upwards.
4. Insert and push the QSFP+ plug into the QSFP+ cage.
