NOTE: The “Activate Raid Set” Function is only used when Raid Set State is
“Incomplete.” It cannot be used when Raid Set configuration is lost. Use the
Rescue Raid Set Function instead.
Create Hot Spare
The Create Hot Spare option gives you the ability to define a global hot spare.
When you choose the
Create Hot Spare
option in the Raid Set Function, all unused
(no n R ai d Set membe r) disk drives in the Guardian 4RT appear. Select the target disk
drive by clicking on the appropriate check box. Click on the
Confirm the Operation
and
click on the Submit button to create hot spare drive(s).
