Download your program to the controller.

Place the controller in Run mode.

Connect the computer to the 1769-ASCII module.

Connect channel 0 of the 1769-ASCII module to a COM port of your
computer with a cable constructed per the specifications on page

15.

Run the HyperTerminal application.

16.

Configure HyperTerminal so that the configuration matches the ASCII
device for communication rate and framing.

17.

Turn off flow control.

18.

In the HyperTerminal application, type in a value.

19.

Press enter.
