4. Software
The following sub-sections provide instructions for installation of the software package on various platforms. This
allows you to get data from the FT Sensor.
Tip
Section 4. information on software is identical for both versions of the FT Sensor.

The development package is distributed under the New BSD license, which is a permissive free software license. In
short, the provided code can be used in any project without any restriction regarding its use (commercial or not). If it
is included in a software, this software does not need to be open-source. However, the code is provided "as is"
without any liability from Robotiq and some restrictions apply regarding the distribution of the code and the use of
the Robotiq name.
