Hard Disk Formatting
A brand new disk may require formatting before using it in the HD-4/8.
To format:
1) Put the hard disk into the hard disk case, insert it and lock it into the DVR, then power up.
2) Click “SETTINGS” and choose “Storage” in the “System” menu;
a) Click “Format” to format the hard disk.
b) Formatting storage media will result in loss of all data on the disk, so back up your important files before
formatting.
c) The format process will take some time--please be patient. You will see the capacity of the hard disk after
formatting.
d) The oldest video files will be deleted automatically when the storage media gets full if "Memory Auto
Overwrite" is checked.
e) Alarm record files under the "Alarm" directory can only be deleted manually.

"Memory Disk Contents" will list all the folders and files on the storage media in chronological order.
Clicking "View" to download any designated file or explore the details in the folder
