Changing Band Frequency
Your tri-band phone can be used in multiple destinations,
including North America, so that you only need to take one
phone when you travel.
Ensure that the phone is set to the correct band frequency
for the country in which you are traveling:
Use
900/1800
for most of Europe, Asia and Africa. Use
1900
for North America, most of South America and the
Caribbean.
On your Motorola Timeport
1. Press
<Menu>
.
2. Press the down arrow and scroll until the menu reads
“Network Selection”
and press
<OK>
.
3. Press
<OK>
to select
“Change Band”
.
4. Use the arrow buttons to select
900/1800
or
1900
and
press
<OK>
.
5. Screen will display
“Searching”
and will register with
the network.
On your Motorola V66
1. Press
<Menu>

2. Scroll down to
“Settings”

3. Scroll to
“Other Settings”

Sending Text Messages to an email address

“Text Msgs”

“Create Message”

4. When prompted for the phone number, enter
<555>
.
5. Enter your message beginning with the email address
you are sending it to. Be sure to leave a space between
the email address, and the start of your message.
