7.1 Transport and storage
When transporting linear units, you must ensure that the housing is not handled by a crane,
forklift or even persons at the ends. Before transport, the guidance slots will be driven into the
end position and locked there.
The load is to be secured adequately during transport, noting the centre of gravity, such that the
load is prevented from tipping.
•
Never walk under the load. The necessary protective clothing is to be worn for all manoeuvres.
•
Accident prevention regulations and safety rules are to be obeyed.
•
During transport and storage, impacts to the shaft ends and drive pins must be avoided.
Damage due to transport and storage is to be reported to the line manager and to
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH immediately.
The product is to be checked by qualified staff for visual and functional damage.
It is forbidden to start up damaged linear units.
The following environmental conditions are laid down for linear unit storage:
•
no oil-contaminated air
•
contact with solvent-based paints must be avoided
•
lowest/highest ambient temperature: 0°C/+60°C
•
Relative humidity in storage: falling below the dewpoint is not allowed
•
Prevent flexing of the linear unit:
Complete support for the body section or an appropriate number of support points over the
length of the guidance section prevents the linear unit flexing.
Divergent environmental factors must be approved by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH.
