The combination of limescale and tea tannins (brownish deposit) can lead to
a decrease in the performance of your SoloTea (weaker pump flow, tea less
infused, etc). In addition, the tea flavours tend to permeate the various parts of
the appliance and therefore risk spoiling the flavours of the different varieties
you might prepare.
In order to avoid this, we recommend that you carry out a thorough cleaning
at least every 30 uses if the water is of medium hardness (sooner if the water
is harder).
Proceed as follows:
• Once the infusion chamber (5) is empty, pour 2 soup spoons of white
vinegar and 350 ml of boiling water into the mug (7).
• Press the power button (3) 3 times to start a 5-minute cycle (red indicator),
then leave over night. Afterwards, throw away the liquid.
• To rinse, pour 350 ml of clear boiling water into the mug (7) and start the
5-minute programme (red indicator). Throw away the water and repeat
the process once again.
If the indicator (4) flashes continually in Red, the batteries need replacing – Fig. S. (See
section on “replacing the batteries”).
The appliance will not function until they have been replaced.
