Starting-up the unit
Using the unit
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over
a longer cord, This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reserve the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician, and do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Lightly grease the upper and lower plates with non-stick coating before the unit is used for the first
time. Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the lid closed (see "Using the unit"). The wipe it
down with a damp cloth.
Do not eat the first waffles you make.
An extension cord may be used with care; however, the marked electrical rating shall be at least as great
as the electrical rating of this appliance. The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
1. Put the plug into a grounded 120V, 60HZ socket. The red, LED (POWER) lights up.
2. Keep the waffle maker closed during the warm up period.

3. Open the cover and insert waffles. Close the lid gently and lock handles. The green control lamp goes
on after a few seconds, baking is finished.
4. Open the lid and remove the waffle(s) with a wooden fork or the like. Do not use pointed or sharp
objects to avoid damaging the coating of the baking surfaces.
5. The waffle maker should always be closed between baking.
6. The indicator light will illuminate when the plug is connected to the outlet; it will stay on during
preheating. The indicator light shuts off when appliance is preheated (preheat appliance for
approximately 2.5 minutes).
7. The average cooking time is about 2 minutes.
