Rittal external temperature sensor

1

General notes

The temperature sensor is compatible with enclo-
sure cooling units in the Blue e+ series.

2

Electrical connection

Fig. 1:

Electrical connection

Connect the temperature sensor to terminals 7
and 8 of the signal connector X2 (included with the
supply of the cooling unit).

General

To comply with EN 61000-6-3 (Emission standard
for residential, commercial and light-industrial envi-
ronments) the ferrite sleeve supplied must be at-
tached close to the sensor cable connector.

Control mode "external sensor"

Please observe the following when selecting the sen-
sor position: The sensor must

not

– be influenced directly by the cold air expelled from

the cooling unit,

– be influenced by external heat sources or heat ra-

diation,

– be exposed to humidity,
– have its connection cable laid in the vicinity of AC

cables,

– be exposed to different temperature levels within

the first 10 cm of the connection cable.

The sensor

must

– be located within the effective range of the cooling

unit,

Note:
Please provide adequate strain relief
for the connection cable.

Note:
Before changing the settings de-
scribed below, please ensure that you
are familiar with cooling unit operation
as described in the assembly and op-
erating instructions (particularly sec-
