FAULT FINDING
Unit does not ignite when the control knob is pushed
- Push the control knob, then try pushing it again.
- There are times straight after installation, or first thing in the morning, that the unit will not
ignite due to air in the gas pipes. In this case try igniting again.
Unit will not ignite. The battery replacement indicator is flashing.
- If, when you press the control knob, the battery replacement indicator lights up (it will not light
up or flash when the knob is turned to “COLD”), or if instant ignition is difficult, the batteries
should be replaced.
Water flow is low, and the flame fails during operation.
- When the water pressure is low, insufficient gas flows to the burner and the flame goes out.
This is due to a safety feature of the appliance to avoid ignition with no water. Press the
control knob and stop hot water flow. The water pressure will return to normal. Use again
when water flow becomes normal. Also, when there is an interruption in water supply and
red-brown water flows out, change the water filter.
