This appliance can be installed in ducted or recirculation
mode.
Ducted mode
(Fig. 4)
•
In ducted mode, the extractor hood fan extracts the
cooking vapours and passes them through the
grease filter. The air then flows to the outside.
•
The grease filter absorbs the solid particles in the
cooking vapors.
Recirculation mode
(Fig. 5)
•
In recirculation mode, the extractor hood fan
extracts the cooking vapors which are purified in
the grease filter and charcoal filter.
•
The purified air is then recirculated into the kitchen
via a vent opening in the hood. The grease filter
absorbs the solid particles in the cooking vapors.
•
The charcoal filter is designed to absorb cooking
odor. In this mode,
both grease filters and charcoal
filters are installed.
Pre-installation
The extractor hood is designed for installation on the
kitchen ceiling or on a rigid suspended ceiling.
•
Ensure that the ceiling is level and able to
withstand the appliance’s weight.
•
Before drilling holes, check for concealed electrical
cables and other lines.
•
Check that the depth of the drilled holes
corresponds with the length of the screws.
•
We recommend you to measure the total height of
the appliance before installation. The total height
is measured from the height of the ceiling, the
height of the bench top and the minimum
installation distance between the hob and the
extractor hood. See “Safety Warnings”.
Mounting to the ceiling
(Fig. 6)
Step A:
•
Mark the center point of the extractor hood on the
ceiling. For ducting connection, cut a Ø170mm hole
in the ceiling.
•
Using the mounting bracket as template, mark 4
(four) holes on the ceiling. Secure mounting bracket
to ceiling using 4(four) ST4 X 50 screws provided.
Note:
Ensure that the mounting bracket and & chimney
support frame is aligned to an approporiate position to fit
the main body (with control panel at desired position for
user.
Step B:
•
Adjust the upper and lower chimney support frame
to the desired height level.
•
Connect the upper chimney support frame to the
mounting bracket using 8(eight) ST4 X 8 screws
provided.

Connect the motor housing and hood body using
12(twelve) ST4 X 8 screws provided.
(Note: Do not
trap the power cord).
