Warranty
Our company “Franz Rinke, Herstellung und Vertrieb” (Farnweg
5, D-86161 Augsburg, Tel. +49 821 5892620,
[email protected], www.franz-rinke.de) provides an
extended warranty of 24 months for our Marderschock system to
the final customer, starting from the date of purchase.
For registering a complaint the final customer has to provide the
retailer with the devices and a copy of the installation receipt. As
part of this warranty we will reimburse the costs, up to 50 EUR,
for un- and re-mounting of a broken (but new) device. Additional
costs will not be covered by this warranty. Opening,
disassembling or inappropriate handling of the device will void
this warranty.
Our extended, voluntary warrany will provide you with a new
device, reimburse your costs, up to 50 EUR, within the first year
after installation if your device has been installed by an expert
and you provide us with a receipt for a successful engine wash.

Attention! If a marten has already caused damage to your car, you
have to clean the engine compartment thoroughly in order to remove
the marten's scent marks.

We have been manufacturing devices to protect your car against martens for over 25
years. In addition to this electro shock device we also offer an ultrasonic version and a
combined version of this device. For attics, car ports, barns and storage halls we offer a
220V, ultrasonic device. We have been enhancing and developing our devices
continuously since the beginning and have become the main manufacturer for all major
car equipment wholesalers.
Installation of your Marderschock S 2720:
Mount the device at a distance of approx. 50 cm from the ground using
the included mounting kit (no floor tray:

), or choose a best location
(with floor tray

), where the sound waves can spread easily without obstruction
or point them towards parts that deserve special protection (
picture 3
). The sound cone
must point downwards (
picture 4
), comparable to the light emitted by a torchlight. If
you install both devices the sound waves must not cross.
The conductive wire should be installed in a way that the marten has to touch it
when it attempts to access the engine compartment. It is also possible to wrap other
parts of your car with the wire if you sufficiently isolate them. The unisolated wire
must not touch grounded parts or bare metal. You should also avoid letting the
unisolated wire touch rubber hoses or plastic parts, because they sometimes
discharge electricity. You can shorten the wire at will. Likewise it is also possible to
extend or to branch it. Always provide sufficient isolation against grounded parts. The
red cable's fuse has a short circuit time of about 20 seconds and thus provides protection
against short-term grounding while the device is operational.
