CHANGING THE BANDSAW BLADE
1. Open the top and bottom wheel doors.
2. Release the blade tension by moving the quick
release lever from right to left (see FIG. 14).
3. Remove the front, Rip Fence Guide Rail (#154) by
loosening the 4 Handles and Washers (#160, 159).
4. Remove the saw blade by feeding it through the slot
in the Blade Guard (#124, A), Table, upper and lower
Blade Guides (B), Dust Plate (#25, C), and the slots in
the lower frame (D) and column of the machine. FIG. 13.

5. When installing the new blade, ensure the blade
teeth are pointing downwards and towards you at the
position where the blade passes through the table.
6. Center the blade on both wheels.
7. Re-tension the new blade by moving the quick
release lever (FIG.14) left to right and check the blade
tracking. The blade should run in the center of both
wheels. Refer to “Tracking the Bandsaw Blade” on the
previous page for more details.
8. Set the blade guides as described in the section
“Adjusting the Blade Guides” on the next page.
9. Re-install the front Rip Fence Guide Rail (step 3).
10. Close and lock both the wheel doors before
reconnecting the power supply.

BLADE TENSION INDICATOR ADJUSTMENT
The Blade Tension Indicator Arrow (#8, FIG. 12, A)
should be checked and adjusted the first time the saw is
set up and run, and whenever a new blade is installed.
The blade tension indicator should be adjusted for
blades made from thicker steel, or for overcut/undercut
in length by different manufacturers.
With moderate tension on the blade, loosen the two
adjusting screws with a Phillips-head screw driver
(FIG.12, B). Adjust the blade indicator up/down as
needed and re-tighten the two adjusting screws.

IN THE OFF POSITION UNTIL ALL ADJUSTMENTS
ARE COMPLETE.
Be careful not to cut yourself on the
sharp saw teeth. Wear gloves for protection.
