1-1. Preface
Thank you for choosing our fixed type oxygen detector head GD-1OXi/GD-1DOXi. Please check that the
model number of the product you purchased is included in the specifications on this manual.
This manual explains how to use the two models: GD-1OXi, GD-1DOXi and their specifications. It contains
information required for using the gas detector properly. Not only the first-time users but also the users who
have already used the product must read and understand the operating manual to enhance the knowledge
and experience before using the detector.
Note that the detector cannot be used alone. Use it with the dedicated indicator/alarm unit. Be sure to read
the operating manual of the indicator/alarm unit as well.

1-2. Purpose of use
Incorporating a galvanic cell type oxygen sensor, this compact diffusion type oxygen detector is used with
an indicator/alarm unit to measure a broad range of oxygen concentrations ranging from insufficient to
excessive oxygen levels.
The detector is used with an indicator/alarm unit to display gas concentrations and issue alarms. The gas
detector cannot be used on its own. It must be used with the dedicated indicator/alarm unit. Be sure to
read the operating manual for the indicator/alarm unit as well.
The detector features a splash-proof housing for installation outdoors.
It can also be used with an optional Zener barrier to achieve an inherently safe explosion-proof
configuration for use in hazardous locations.
