4.7 Adjustment of the combustion head
At this point of the installation, the combustion head is fixed to
the boiler as shown in Fig. 12.
It is therefore especially easy to adjust, and this adjustment de-
pends only on the maximum output of the burner.
Two adjustments of the head are foreseen:

external air R1
³
central air R3
In the diagram of Fig. 15, find the notch at which to adjust both
air and central gas/air.

External air adjustment (R1)
Rotate the screw 4) (Fig. 16) until the notch you have found
corresponds with the front surface 5) of the flange.

Central air adjustment (R3)
Loosen the 2 screws 1) and rotate the ring nut 2) until the
notch you have found corresponds with the screw 1).
Block the 2 screws 1).
The burner leaves the factory with the ring nut 2) set to
notch 0.
Do not change this value.
Example:
Burner output = 7575 MBtu/hr.
The diagram of Fig. 15 shows that the adjustments for this
potential is external air R1 = notch 6.
NOTE
The diagram indicates the optimum adjustment for a type of boil-
er according to Fig. 4.
The adjustments indicated can be modified during the initial
start-up.
To facilitate adjustment, loosen the screw
